About Uncle Shrimp
Uncle Shrimp collaborates with shrimp farms in Yunlin, Taiwan to bring their naturally farmed shrimp to the consumer in a delicious snack. These shrimp farms do not use any chemicals nor antibiotics to raise their shrimp. By channeling natural seawater and combining kelp, clams, and other complementary marine life, the shrimp can thrive in a natural environment that is eco-friendly.
After harvesting, the shrimp are given a "spa" treatment to naturally expel the grit in the vein instead of a physical deveining process which does not damage and harm the shrimp.
The shrimp are parboiled gently and then put into our vacuum fryer at 250F for 1 hour to slowly cook the shrimp with minimal oil while maintaining freshness, flavor, and form. When the shrimp comes out of the fryer, it is crispy yet not greasy at all.
