11540 / 11540U / 11540UX La-Z-Boy Liftchair Replacement Hand Control

This hand control was very common in La Z Boy lift chairs and other manufacturers with heat & massage in the past decade or so. PLEASE NOTE that the original control with the La Z Boy face plate is not being made any longer; the one we are selling has the name "Relaxor" on the face plate; we get these controls from the same manufacturer that La Z Boy used; instead of that manufacturer having to use a separate face plate for all the different manufacturers that use this control, to save expense they just make all the replacements with their trademark name Relaxor on them. The new style is labeled 11540UX and is pictured above this paragraph, and it is the one you will get. Both have straight round 8 pin plugs (seven pins in a circle and one in the middle). This replacement control has a "night light" feature also; whereas the original hand control lighted up only when the buttons were pressed, this new control acts as a night light, where it stays lit up all the time so it can be found easily at night. Some folks like the night light feature, some don t, but the light can t be turned off, per the manufacturer (I guess it s like the government, they think they know what s good for you...) ANOTHER NOTE: Many times, the hand control is the problem in the chair, but other times, the problem is in the control box under the chair, and there is really no way to know which one is the problem before you order; if you order this hand control, and it doesn t fix the problem, please don t just assume we sold you a bad part, the problem is usually in the control box if the new control didn t solve the problem (that control box will have to come directly from La Z Boy). However, if you think the problem may be in the hand control, I suggest trying that first, as the control boxes are fairly expensive to order from La Z Boy.
