We have made this journal from natural cow leather. We finish the rustic look by leaving the natural edge of the hide on the wraparound flap, each one of these will be unique, some will have quite a straight edge, some will have a bit of a slant and some will be irregular. As it is the natural edge of the leather you might even find small scars, cuts or even holes on this edge. You can see in the images how much they can vary. This is the sort of journal that you can throw in your rucksack without worrying too much about it. The wraparound cover encloses the paper and is held in place with waxing cord and button.

The paper is tree-friendly, unlined and blank with natural, off-white color. It has a matt appearance and it takes most fountain pens without bleeding . Hand stitched binding with waxing cord make the pages stay firmly in place, the journal paper is not refillable due to this binding processing.
