Description
Most bench grinders come equipped with a tool rest that is almost useless. Stock tool rests are difficult to adjust accurately and do not hold adjustments. This bench grinder tool rest seeks to overcome these weaknesses. It will work with both 6" and 8" diameter grinders and belt sanders with a 1" wide wheel or belt. It is secured directly to your bench. The tool rest can be quickly removed from its base to allow unencumbered free hand grinding. Tool rest is 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep and has a 5/8 x ¼ inch groove to accept the included grinding jig. Grinding jig will accept blades up to 2.5 inches wide. Base is 2.5 inches wide by 6" long and allows the entire rest to be moved forward/back 3 inches. Entire rest can be raised/lowered by 2 inches. Tool rest can be rotated forward and back a full 170 degrees. Entire unit is made from anodized aluminum and will never rust.
