GYPSOPHILA BABY S BREATH is a beautiful perennial whether planted in containers or mass plantings. It is a fabulous filler plant and can mask spent spring bulbs. Low maintenance, low water use, and grows in nearly any type of soil, this is great for the beginning gardener. It lends a soft lacy touch to any garden. Sowing: DIRECT SOW; Remove weeds and work organic matter into the top 6-8 inches of soil; then level and smooth. In late fall thru very early spring, broadcast seeds evenly pressing into soil and keeping soil evenly moist. INDOORS; If planted indoors or late spring, stratification may be required for 3-4 weeks to break dormancy for germination. Germinate under plant lights as seeds need light to germinate. Harden off plants before transplanted out. Second year flowering. Can be cut back to encourage late fall bloom.
