Few people are born with the spirit of independence in them, the urge to break off the yoke of foreign domination to be in the eyes of the world, free as the skylark! To this rare category belonged two Goan lads Ram and Rahim both twins born into a Christian family but separated at infancy and brought up in the households of two well to do Hindu and Muslim families. Right from heir childhood days, they fostered and nursed the idea of one day setting Goa free form the Portuguese rule. Thus they grow up into strapping young men to join the freedom struggle and many and daring were their acts in the service of the underground resistance movement. Rahim meets one devoted and active worker, Simmi, a victim of Portuguese brutality, whom he falls in love with. As for Ram, his exploits border on the impossible. He kidnaps the newly arrived Portuguese Governor s daughter, Rita, to the neighbouring jungles where he hides her and by slow process, and succeeds in winning her over to their cause. .The freedom movement is now in top gear. Everything is being got ready on the Indian side for the final assault on the Portuguese pocket. But to facilitate the advance of the liberation forces, it is necessary that a strategic fort-cum-ammunition dump of the Portuguese should be put out of action. Ram and Rahim are chosen to do the job, but just when success seems to be assured, they are caught and sentenced to be shot! An exciting climax that keeps you on the edge!
