The LifeStraw Play Kids’ Water Filter Bottle with 2-Stage Integrated Filter Straw is the first water filter bottle designed especially for children. Kid-sized, leakproof bottle measures 2.5 x 7 inches, holds 10 ounces of water, and weighs 3.8 ounces, making it easy for smaller hands to use and carry at home, school, or team sports practice, as well as during outdoor activities and travel. It’s easy to fill the bottle by scooping water from lakes, rivers, streams, or contaminated urban water sources. And kids don’t need to know or do anything special to make the filter work; filtration occurs while water is sipped through the 2-stage integrated filter straw. The first stage of filtration features a replaceable hollow fiber membrane microbiological filter which filters to 0.2 microns, and removes 99.999999 percent of waterborne bacteria, and 99.999 percent of waterborne protozoan parasites, from up to 1,000 gallons (4,000 liters) of water. The second stage of filtration puts water through a replaceable activated carbon capsule, which reduces organic chemical matter (pesticides, herbicides, VOCs), exceeds the NSF-42 standard for chlorine reduction, and improves taste for up to 26 gallons (100 liters) of water. Durable, safe, and easy to clean, the bottle is manufactured from FDA approved materials, including food-grade silicone, and BPA and BPO-free Triton. Each bottle includes a choice of themed personalization discs which can be affixed to the lid.
