Stand your baby on a piece of paper and mark the tip of their longest toe and their heel on the paper. Measure this distance with a ruler.
If your baby can not stand you can sit them on your lap with their knee bent and foot flat on the floor.
Place your babies foot on your arm and mark the length. This may be more effective if they curl or twist their foot when you place it on the paper
