Description
The EA6B Prowler is a twin-engine, electronic warfare aircraft used by the US Navy and US Marine Corps. The Prowler was developed from the Grumman A-6 Intruder and has a lengthened fuselage that can accommodate one pilot and three Electronic Countermeasure Operators (ECMS). On some occasions, only two ECMS go on missions. Armed with AGM88A HARM missiles, Prowlers usually fly in advance of the main strike force to suppress enemy air defenses. In addition to destroying enemy forces, the EA6B also gathers signal intelligence and destroy enemy radar sites.
