Essential II Matte Black Turntable with Ortofon OM 5E Cartridge Class-leading sound quality in an innovative turntable made for vinyl starters, the Pro-Ject Essential II features an ultra-quiet synchronous motor with a silicone belt that drives a low-resonance platter made from MDF. A DC powered motor control minimizes unwanted vibration and the main platter bearing consists of a stainless-steel spindle and a bronze bushing with a Teflon bottom. The main chassis is made of lightweight and sturdy particle board and features a straight 8.6" aluminum tone arm made from a single piece of aluminum with sapphire bearings, delivering a superior plug & play solution over previous models.
