Description

The iOX is the second generation smartphone powered pulse oximeter from Safe Heart.

Compatible with iPhone, iPad and Android devices that support OTG, the iOX is extremely
lightweight and portable, and the device s power is drawn completely from the user s device
while remaining battery-free by using a unique and innovative circuit design designed to send
and receive data at a rate that is sufficient for sending the user s measured telemetry while
keeping power consumption to a minimum. The device measures blood oxygen saturation,
pulse rate, respiration and perfusion index (SpO2, PR, RR, PI) and can be used for continuous
monitoring. In addition, the iOX software includes a history function, which allows users to track
and average their readings over time.

Operation

The device functions by simply plugging into the device s headphone jack or USB port (through
an OTG connection for Android devices) and running the accompanying iOX application, which
is available on iOS and Android devices and their respective app stores.

Pulse Range: 30-240 BPM.
When range of pulse rate is 30-100, range of accuracy is +-1%; when range is 100bpm-240bpm,
range of accuracy is +-2%

SpO2 Range: 70%-100%, Accuracy +-2%

Resolution: 1%. For SpO2, 0.1% for Perfusion Index above 1%
