The fire starter is composed of anodized aluminum with a flint steel rod that has magnesium in it. Built with high quality materials, it is designed to function in wet or dry conditions. And it can be used as a self defense weapon when using a glass breaker tip as a striking point. The Sahara Sailor fire starter is a compact and portable firestarter we can easily use. Simply screw the unit apart to get that fire started when you re in a pinch. It is great for survivalists, hunters, fishermen and campers.

0.5 cm diameter waterproof magnesium rod can last more than 500 fire-starting strikes.

Note: The cotton tinder will ignite quickly with a hot flame. Please be careful when using.
Instruction
1. Scrape the fire starter rod with the scraper to clean off a strip of the black protective coating.
2. Prepare the cotton tinder and pull the fibers apart next to the magnesium rod.
3. Put the rod in the center of the cotton, scrape it hard and fast down to create sparks landed on the tinder. For best results, hold the scraper at a 45 degree angle.
Note: The magnesium stick is covered in protective coating. Wipe it off before use.
