My concern as a pediatrician and a mom of children with allergies is how to help children find relief as naturally as possible. Quercetin is what gives Snifflex its bright yellow color. Vitamin C: is a natural antihistamine and works by destroying circulating histamine. Found in citrus fruits, red peppers, kiwi and rose hips, studies have shown Vitamin c can help children with multiple respiratory symptoms. N-Acetyl Cysteine: is an amino acid that when taken as a supplement is turned into cysteine and glutathione by the body. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant and anti inflammatory. NAC helps break down mucous. Elderberry gives Snifflex its delicious taste. Used for centuries to treat colds, it also helps relieve nasal congestion and has anti inflammatory properties. As an added bonus, it has antiviral properties too.
